ABSTRACT:
In this workshop, we will explore fun and engaging strategies for continuous assessment in EFL classrooms. Participants will learn to design interactive assessments, including gamified quizzes, interactive questioning, and digital tools. Through hands-on activities, attendees will gain practical insights to implement these strategies effectively. By the end of the session, participants will have a toolkit of engaging assessment methods that promote active learning, encourage participation, and provide meaningful feedback.
BIODATA:
Esra Ezici received her bachelor's degree from Hacettepe University in 2000 and has been actively involved in English Language Teaching ever since. Her extensive ELT career has spanned various roles, including teacher, foreign languages coordinator, and teacher trainer. She holds certificates in teaching young learners from the Norwich Institute of Language Education, teacher training from Pilgrims, and online tutoring from International House. With expertise in teaching English at all levels, she has also contributed as a reviewer for ELT materials published by various publishers. Esra possesses valuable experience in curriculum design and integrating educational technology into language education. She has conducted training sessions globally both online and face-to-face on diverse ELT topics. Currently, Esra serves as a Senior Professional Development Consultant and teacher trainer for Türkiye, North Africa, and Central Asia at Oxford University Press. She also contributes internationally as a trainer for the Oxford Teachers' Academy. Her professional interests extend to the integration of Artificial Intelligence into language teaching and learning, reflecting her commitment to innovative educational practices.
