ABSTRACT: Just like Clark Kent, in their day-to-day lives English teachers usually prefer to hide their superpowers in order to keep their true identities secret. But, no, in this session it’s time to shout out about our MANY special abilities, both great and small. The ultimate aim of this talk will be to remind you of just some of the unique strengths that all English teachers possess, but that we (and others) sometimes forget, or take for granted. BIODATA: Dave is a practising secondary school teacher working in Spain. He studied languages at Oxford University and trained to be a secondary school teacher in 1986. He has been writing courses for teenagers for over 30 years and is the author of the best-selling ‘Gateway’ series, the latest edition of which is ‘Gateway to the World’. Dave has given talks in over 30 countries, including five memorable trips to Türkiye, and is active on social media at https://www.facebook.com/teachwithdave.
