Louise PIKE

Louise Pike juggles her working life as an English Skills teacher at ITK and as a qualified Cambridge English Speaking Examiner. Originally from England, she completed a degree in Psychology at The University of Manchester, before obtaining a CELTA in Istanbul, Turkey. She is currently completing a TESOL, Leadership and Management Master’s program through The University of Portsmouth.

Although she currently teaches young learners, she has experience working with a range of students from pre-school through to adults. She is experienced in preparing students for Cambridge examinations and drama performances. Moreover, she has presented other ELT workshops including ‘CLIL: Around the World in 40 minutes’ for EÇEV and ‘Bringing a story to life’ for ITK in-house training.

She values self-reflection, sharing ideas and teacher development. She particularly enjoys teaching young learners with an emphasis on creativity and gamification. Her strong roots in Psychology also makes classroom management one of her key interests.
