Keeping the screenagers happy(All ages)
We all know how digital media can engage today’s screenagers but are we making the best of it? How can we really connect with our learners through their digital devices? This talk begins by outlining the key roles of digital technology in today’s classrooms, touching on video, gaming and social media. We then analyse the positive changes that screens can bring whilst not overlooking the dangers. We finish by showing ways that students can use their devices both critically and creatively. The talk will include practical tips for teachers to connect with their learners and examples of successful student projects.
